AlleyTrade Privacy Policy

AlleyTrade ("the app") is a peer-to-peer marketplace for trading card collectibles. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided by Google, Apple, or the email address and password you choose when you sign in.
• Profile details — the trading handle and display name you set up in the app.
• Collection and listing data — the cards you add to your collection, including any photos you take or upload of them, and any listings or trade offers you create.
• Trade activity — proposals, offers, and messages exchanged with other traders while arranging a trade.
• Reports — if you report another user, we store the reported user, your account, and the reason given.
• Push notification token — a device token used to deliver trade notifications, if you allow notifications.

How we use this information

• To operate core features: creating listings, proposing and completing trades, and messaging other traders.
• To send push notifications about trade activity (e.g. a new trade proposal or acceptance).
• To review reports of abuse and enforce blocking between users.
• To maintain your account and card collection across sessions and devices.

What other users can see

Your handle, display name, profile photo, and the cards in your collection/listings are visible to other users of the app, since the app's purpose is connecting traders. Chat messages within a trade are visible only to the two people in that trade.

Third-party services

AlleyTrade is built on Firebase (a Google service), which provides authentication, our database, and file storage for photos. Sign-in is handled by Google, Apple, or email/password directly through Firebase Authentication. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's push notification service. We don't sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This removes your account, collection, listings, and uploaded photos. Completed trade records may be retained in an anonymized form as part of the other trader's trade history.

Children's privacy

AlleyTrade is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
